About Us

Smiling volunteer.jpgWe Teach Science Foundation was formed in 2008 to assist K-12 Math and Science students by recruiting and training volunteers from the professional science and engineering community to work with them inside and outside the classroom.

Our volunteers work under the direction of their paired teachers anywhere from 1-3+ hours a week. Typically, our volunteers will work with several students at a time, helping them better understand the current lesson materials, prepare for tests, or review homework and exams. Often, they may be called upon by the teacher to share with the class the application of current class materials to the "real world".

We Teach Science Foundation is a publicly supported, non-endowed operating foundation (i.e. not a grantmaking institution)
